The challenge
Two load-bearing walls separated the kitchen from the surrounding living areas. Removing them was the only way to open the main floor and rework the kitchen.
The result
An open main floor with the kitchen connected to the surrounding living areas, and the new structural support carried in the framing and finished ceiling.
